Entertainment Installations debut their Martin RUSH MH7 Hybrids

922A0141 As part of their on-going inventory upgrades Entertainment Installations have purchased eight of the new Martin RUSH MH7 Hybrid moving lights.

“Our touring / production inventory comprises many fixtures from Martin and their products always stand out especially for their quality and performance,” remarked Neale Mace, managing director of Entertainment Installations. “The Martin Rush MH7 is no exception.”

The Martin RUSH MH 7 Hybrid is an all-in-one beam, spot and wash moving head with class-leading optics and a zoom system that allows designers maximum flexibility from the high-energy dance floor to performing arts spaces, all within an affordable price bracket.

“We were specifically looking for a smaller moving light to replace our outgoing Martin MAC250 Wash and Entour fixtures,” explained Neale. “Show Technology sent us a RUSH MH7 to test out and after putting it through its paces, we discovered the new Rush MH7 Hybrid fixture is just what we were looking for to replace BOTH types of our MAC250’s – it is truly a “Hybrid” fixture!”

The RUSH MH 7 Hybrid’s features include sharp, crisp optics with a powerful zoom that ranges from a smooth 45° wash to a punchy 2.2° beam.

“It does a very nice beam effect – at 2.2deg it’s very ‘Sharpy-ish’,” said Neale. “In Profile mode it has a great set of gobos / rotating gobos / prisms and creates great in-air effects. The Wash mode is truly impressive with the beam maxing out to a VERY wide, soft edge wash.

The fixture features 8 rotating/indexing and 12 static gobos, 10 selectable colours, and exciting beam effects from its 8-facet circular and 4-facet linear prisms.

“Although it doesn’t colour mix, it’s not an issue as the on-board dichroic colours are great, commented Neale. “They weigh slightly less than a MAC250 Entour and they’re a similar size, but the light output from the unit is massive thanks to the Philips Platinum 11R 250W 7800 K lamp.

“They tick all the boxes for a fixture in this area – size, weight, features, light output and price. Our Rush MH7’s have already done their first gig and both the client and LD commented on the lighting looks created by the MH7’s. They are already scheduled out for more shows starting this week.”

The RUSH MH 7 Hybrids were a key part of Bryce Mace’s lighting rig for Totally 80s (pictured) along with MAC700 Wash, MAC101, Clay Paky Stormy, A.leda B-Eyes, duets, four lighters, Unique hazers and MA Lighting MA2 plus fader wing for control.
