Late last year Jason Griffin decided that after working in the audio visual business for eight years, it was time to start his own business and so, along with his business partner, he formed Total AV. First on the shopping list was a lighting console that had a great reputation, and would also be sought after for sub-hires.
“We decided that the MA Lighting MA2 Light was the product to purchase to break into the market,” commented Jason. “Market popularity was most definitely important and the MA series of consoles are the most a sought after.”
Jason explains that Total AV is a small, niche business and that they plan not to have too many clients in order to concentrate fully on those that they do have.
“The big tour we are doing this year is the Australian International Ice Hockey event across Australia which will take place through June and July,” he said. “Obviously our MA2 Light will be a big part of the tour!”
Jason is very impressed by the power and reliability of the MA consoles, stating that over the years he has never had an issue with a MA console crashing.
“Its 3D software is brilliant to work on and pre-program shows,” he added. “However, the main selling point is the way you can customize the console to suit the individual operator. It’s such a staple console now and everyone knows it as it’s a very user friendly.”
