The Lucky Winner of a Martin M2GO Console is ……………..

Prior to Christmas Show Technology ran a promotion whereby you could win a Martin M2GO console if you attended one of their highly popular workshops introducing the console to the lighting fraternity.

The M2GO is a compact yet highly capable lighting console in Martin Professional’s popular M-Series that answers the demand for a more powerful console in a smaller form.

The lucky winner was Sue Brandstater, an entertainment industry teacher at Picton High, who then had to wait a tantalising six weeks before she could introduce her students to the console as it was the summer holidays!

“When I first saw the specifications of the M2GO I thought it looked absolutely fantastic,” she commented. “I attended the workshop and fell in love with it even though I knew I couldn’t afford to buy one. I was in the middle of a school event when I got the phone call from Show Technology to say that I had won an M2GO – I was squealing with excitement and my students were wondering what on earth was going on! It was like winning Lotto!”

Sue will kindly be using her M2GO console to train her students and to operate a variety of school events.

“It will be great to introduce student’s to a new and emerging technology,” she said. “We’re a poor public school where it’s hard for us to get equipment so this is a really big thing. It’s really going to be fantastic for them. The console is easy to use and I thought the touch screen was good. The interface is logically set out – you can point at something and that’s where it went.’

Equipped with a fast, dual-core processor, the M2GO is a full console with no external computer required. It offers a professional level of features in a portable package and has been developed with cost, ergonomics, feature set, size and weight in mind. The latest generation processor ensures a fast and responsive user interface, even if hundreds of playbacks and effects are activated simultaneously.

Sue further describes the M2GO as an excellent console for teaching moving lights.

“Winning the M2Go means a whole lot of kids are going to have access to a great console and they are really excited about using it.”
