Spotlight FresneLED 250 RGBW

With higher light output than a 1000w conventional Fresnel whilst using a quarter of the power the FresneLED 250 RGBW brings full colour mixing to Spotlight’s Green Line fixture series and saves you time and money.

Fresnels are the workhorse of any theatrical lighting rig. Wide focus range coupled with soft edge beams for even blending in stage wash applications make the Fresnel indispensable.  Whilst multicell LED fixtures have been touted as colour mixing replacements for the Fresnel none has delivered the homogenous beam and true linear dimming performance of the conventional Fresnel and dimmer combination. Now however Italian theatrical luminaire specialists Spotlight have delivered the perfect thing to replace your power hungry Fresnels. A Fresnel!

Spotlight’s FresneLED250 RGBW packs a 250w RGBW LED chip set into their well-known Area 12 Halogen Fresnel housing to deliver better output performance in white light than 1000w conventional luminaires. However once you start mixing colour with the FresneLED 250 RGBW the light output is comparable to many 2000w conventional luminaire and filter combinations. Remote Device Management (RDM) means that you configure the fitting remotely from an RDM capable controller making it the perfect solution for hard to get at lighting positions.

The combination of Red, Green, Blue and White LED’s afford an extended palette of true colours that will work seamlessly alongside conventional fixtures and deliver the results that designers need and expect. There is also a selectable CCT white light control providing continuous colour temperature adjustment from 3000 to 6000 Kelvin. When you want to mix colour, FresneLED 250 RGBW lets you choose from RGBW control, Hue and Saturation or familiar CMY modes meaning it will work easily with all types of DMX consoles.

Dimming can be run in 8 or 16 bit mode ensuring even the most fastidious designer will get a smooth and stable dimming curve even at low levels without the need for expensive external dimmers.  Just connect power and data and you are ready to begin. Extended 30,000 lamp life coupled with the low 300w power draw and lack of expensive colour filter stock means that FresneLED 250 makes sound economic sense. No need for multiple fixtures to provide colour options on stage. Reduced maintenance with no lamp or gel changes, lower power bills and lower heat load for your HVAC system. On every level FresneLED saves you time and running costs without compromising the quality of light hitting your stage.

Making it’s debut at Pro Light and Sound in Frankfurt this month FresneLED250 RGBW is a colourful and welcome addition to Spotlights high quality LED luminaire line and will be seen in Australia at the upcoming ENTECH show in July on the JANDS booth.
