Special Effects Maintenance Technicians – Crown Melbourne

PRG (Australia) is a leading provider of services to the Entertainment industry.

Opportunities are now available for enthusiastic and motivated people to join the small on-site team
that operates and maintains Special Effects for Crown Melbourne. Casual and fixed term contract
positions are available.

Crown operates 24 hours / day, 7 days / week. Successful applicants will be required to work various
shifts which may include weekends, evenings and public holidays. Applicants will also be required to
complete and lodge a “Consent to Check and Release Police Record” form. These details will be
provided to Crown and employment is conditional on meeting Crown’s requirements.

The portfolio of Special Effects includes an automated sound, lighting, laser, water feature and
chandelier spectacular in the Atrium, the iconic Gas Brigades, various water features and pools,
external signage and architectural lighting.

We are seeking people with demonstrable mechanical aptitude, preferably with trade or pre-trade
skills and experience. Previous experience with either Entertainment Technology (theatrical lighting,
sound, show control) or Pool Operation & Maintenance is also desirable.

You will be fit, healthy and have moderate strength and flexibility. You will be able to follow
instructions and capable of carrying out a wide variety of tasks, including repetitious tasks, manual
handling tasks and analytical tasks using established procedures. You will have demonstrable
experience identifying and tracing faults in a logical manner. You may be required to work with or
without direct supervision.

You will use effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and maintain your presentation
and appearance in a manner that meets Crown’s requirements.

Applicants will be required to work safely at heights and have demonstrated experience. A WP or
boom lift licence or Scissor lift competency certificate will be looked at favourably.
