PR Lighting Plans Major Launch at Prolight + Sound for XR 1000

PR Lighting is planning a major launch at this year’s Prolight + Sound show in Frankfurt for Spot and Beam versions of its new XR 1000 moving head.
The fully automated system, housing an Osram HTI 1000 W/PS 1,000W metal halide lamp, will receive its world debut.
Housed in an IP20, high temperature engineered plastic chassis, the company says the luminaire boasts several advantages over competitive models. For example it is brighter than a conventional 1,200W discharge lamp, and with a weight of just 31kg it is both lighter, and compact.
Highlights of the feature-set are seven rotating gobos and seven fixed gobos, a three-face prism, soft frost and fire effect wheel, and a linear zoom with range of 9- to 47-degrees.
Other features include: 2,800K-6,500K linearly adjustable color temperature; smooth CYM color mixing system, plus CTO with macro; color wheel with seven colors (plus white) and vari-speed bi-directional rainbow effect; step/linear color changing; DMX linear focusing and zooming; 0-100% linearly adjustable dimming and 5-100% linearly adjustable iris (with macro); double shutter blades with shutter speed of 0.3-25 fps (with macro).Other beam angles include 10- to 21-degrees (5-degree in high light) and frost effect 9- to 31-degrees.
The adjustable head movement itself offers 540-degrees of pan and 270-degrees of tilt.
Finally, the XR 1000 also offers a number of other useful features to facilitate operation. These include: use time display for the projector and the lamp respectively; English and Chinese menu in LCD (brightness and contrast adjustable); energy saving ballast; sensor diagnosis function; input signal protection and isolation; modular structure for easy maintenance; DMX512 wireless signal; optional DMX512 transmitter and RDM.
