Scott Allan

Scott Allan After training with the Young People’s Theatre Inc., Scott spent eight years teaching Technical Production for the company's Theatre School and, as resident Lighting Designer, continued to design for pantomime and productions in repertory. Scott also worked for the Civic Theatre Newcastle, contributing to its Lighting Department; working on local and commercial productions.

Establishing a small production company, Scott worked as a Stage Manager and Lighting Designer on the national tours of I’m Not a Dentist (Lawrence Jackson Productions) with Mr Henri Szeps and Late Nite Catechism (Adrian Bohm Presents) with Ms Denise Roberts.

Scott was later employed as the Technical Manger for the Shore School (SCEGS, Blue St). During this time, he collaborated with resident Designer Adam Lindberg to ensure a high standard of production for the elaborate shows produced by the Performing Arts Faculty.

Moving to Queensland to work for the Gold Coast Arts Centre, Scott led the lighting team as the Lighting Manager (Head Lx) and resident Lighting Designer. He was later appointed Production Manager to oversee the full operations of the large-scale musical theatre productions produced by the Arts Centre. Scott continues to create original lighting designs for this dynamic company.

Now based in Melbourne, Scott brings his fifteen years experience and expertise in lighting design and production to a diverse range of clients.
