Martin Professional is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a variety of special events planned for 2012. The 25th anniversary is also being marked on the Martin website, as well as Martin Professional’s interactive Facebook page. Another milestone for 2012, according to Christian Engsted, president and CEO, is that “our LED-based products total more than 50 percent of our sales.”
Incorporated in 1987 as a producer of disco lights and fog machines, the company said its MAC line of moving heads alone have sold over 350,000 units. Engsted, who has been at the helm of Martin Professional since 2005, expected that trend to continue, citing potential for the recently-released MAC Aura and forthcoming MAC Viper.
