Staging Connections Adelaide has recently welcomed twelve Martin MAC Auras to their inventory and they couldn’t be happier. The MAC Aura is the first compact LED moving head wash light with zoom that uses two independent colour systems to produce new ‘eye-candy’ effects plus functions as a highly capable single-lens wash with fully pre-mixed colour.
Chris Hutton, Staging Connections’ Operations Manager SA/NT, explained that they wanted an LED-based wash light (for low maintenance) that wasn’t too expensive and that was similar to a Martin MAC600.
“We know that the MAC Auras are not exactly like a MAC600 but they definitely have a lot of punch and a lot of wash,” he said. “Of course, the MAC Auras have many bonuses too; they are much smaller than a MAC600, they deliver great eye candy on stage and they have a really strong, punchy beam especially running through smoke and haze. The beam is compact and high-definition plus the colours are great. They are a fantastic addition to our inventory. ”
To date Staging Connections Adelaide has used their MAC Auras at gala dinners as well as a few weddings. Their small size and attractive housing make them ideal for events where you don’t want big and invasive lights on show.
