Lux Events add Clay Paky Sharpys to their stock

Lux Events have added sixteen Clay Paky Sharpys to their inventory and according to managing director Dave Trapp, they are fast becoming a favourite with his corporate clients.

“The Sharpy is a light that makes such an impression even our corporate clients comment on them!” he announced. “The Sharpys are well renowned for their brightness but none the less the LX guys have still been blown away by what a difference they’re making to our shows.”

The photographs show eight of the Sharpys put to use on a corporate party where they were the feature light used to dress the space. Project Manager for the event was Michael Judges and Senior Production Manager was Matt Gibbons., aiming for a Ministry of Sound theme in the Crown Casino ballroom.

“We used the Sharpys for aerial effects and because of their brightness, they are perfect for that,” said Matt. “I actually had to run them at 40% because they were far too bright for the ballroom! What can I say that hasn’t been said by everyone else: amazing colours, amazing gobos, very sharp and very fast. The Sharpy really is a unique light, very versatile and it has great precision.”

Also in the rig were nine Martin LC Panels which Dave says are oldies but goodies and have been used nearly every weekend over the last few months. Added to them were sixteen Martin MAC700s, Pro Shop Tri-Color, Unique Hazers and a full size grandMA1.
