From its humble beginnings with pie-plate gobos and Aldis film strip projectors, the business of image projection has become one of the fastest growing, and most diverse, areas of lighting art and technology. To help keep our industry abreast of what's happening in this rapidly changing area, ALIA is planning to hold an Image Projection evening in Perth on March 2nd at 6pm.

The main feature of the evening will be live demonstrations of the available image projection technologies. This will encompass everything from low-cost plastic gobos for profile spots, through dedicated gobo and slide projection systems, to video effects projection, and finally on to the developments in large format moving-image projectors.

If you are interested in the possibilities of incorporating image projection in your next project or production, this evening provides a unique opportunity to examine the current state-of-the-art in a broad range of projection technologies.
