Merivale is seeking an In-House Lighting Operator for the recently opened Upstairs Beresford at the Beresford Hotel; a music venue that has been inspired by some of New York’s finest and designed to give both the performer and patron a first class experience with decadent décor. It boasts a large stage, tiered booths, a spacious dance floor and a state of the art sound and lighting system.
The glamorous décor inspired by New York music venues fused with 1960’s Australian art deco makes the venue a very beautiful, unique, and intimate music entertainment space. As an In-House Lighting Operator, you will create a special experience for the audience; enhancing the connection between the performer and the viewer.
Your duties will include the following for live and corporate shows:
– Monitor and check that all system & inventory are being used responsibly and for their intended purpose.
– Setting up and relocating of lighting fixtures?
– Programming and operating of lights as required
– Assisting external suppliers and facilitate the integration of additional production into in house system.
– Basic trouble shooting and DMX fault finding
– Assist with deliveries and pickups of AV production
