Just wondering what employers are paying their staff these days...
For example, there's a heap of "younger" people on this forum doing loader-type jobs, basic tech work, etc.. What kind of money do they get on average?
Lighting Designers? Operators? Forklift Drivers? EWP Drivers?
Do you pay your casuals per hour or per show?
What kind of money do production managers get? Full time? Part time? Casual?
Overseas?
I'd be very interested to see how it varies from State to State, etc.
Thanks! ~fergz |

Clarify?
Are you talking just when you're hired by venues, or in fringe situations too, with profit share..
Check MEAA, they have a list of how much you're supposed to get. |

This is just along the lines of this topic...
I did a gig last night and at the end of the night, I was asked "Now what's your time worth"
This is the first time I've really been paid for a gig (ie not with favours or merch or anything-im 17 by the way) and I was basically stumped.
So understanding what the base rate for a position would be very handy. Now that I think about it, I jipped myself on pay
So what would the base rate be for designing/operating moving lights (on a hog 1k) in a large professional venue (capacity 1500)?!? |
