Osram
LED Modules![]() Osram have introduced a range of LED modules with applications in decorative, safety, signage and display lighting. Each of the modules consists of a number of LED elements mounted on a circuit board (either rigid or flexible). The circuit board also carries the appropriate current regulation devices, and can optionally be terminated with standard "Conny" connectors from BJB. Osram also produce matching power supplies with the appropriate Conny connections. This system removes the need for any in house development or assembly work to incorporate large quantities of LEDs in projects. The module types available are LINEARlight and LINEARlight FLEX for lines light for guidance or decorative applications, BACKlight for backlighting signage or display elements, MARKERlight for backing indicators and nameplates, TAGlight for illuminating nametags and information panels, COINlight for circular decorative and end lighting applications, and EFFECTlight for high brightness architectural or decorative coloured trim lighting. www.osram.com.au |

new colours for the Lee 700 Series Designer Colours Lee Filters have recently released 11 new colours to further expand the 700 Series Designer Range to an impressive 46 colours. All of these new colours were created by individual lighting designers in the Lee Filters Research and Development Laboratories in Andover, England. The new 700 Series Colours were created by Chris Davey, Chris Ellis and David Whitehead, who were able to take their ideas forward by mixing and blending colours, producing the samples for testing and field trials, and then fine tuning each colour until they had achieved exactly the effect they wanted. The colours are then named and added to the 700 Series following a very stringent quality control process. The new Lee Filters Swatchbook with an orange pin is now available for you to sample the creations of these three 700 Series designers. The new colours are as follows: Chris Davey - 722 Bray Blue, 712 Bedford Blue, 748 Seedy Pink Chris Ellis - 717 Shanklin Frost, 718 Half Shanklin Frost, 714 Elysian Blue, 798 Chrysalis Pink David Whitehead - 767 Oklahoma Yellow, 794 Pretty 'n Pink, 709 Electric Lilac, 795 Magical Magenta Australian Distributor Mediavision Australia www.mediavision.com.au Ph: (02) 9816 4055 or (03) 9807 5133 |

Curtain Track from Doughty Doughty Engineering has launched a brand new curtain track. Named 'Six Track', it has been designed and produced after consultation with end users and installers and Doughty claim that it overcomes several of the problems users say they experience with existing products. Available from stock, the track is made up of a tubular top hanger bar and rectangular section tube rails, all finished in black powder coat. No rivets are used in the manufacture of Six Track components, all of which are assembled using 5mm nuts and bolts throughout, which means that modifying sections or adding pulleys can be done without re-threading hauling lines. A range of fully adjustable brackets has also been developed for hanging the track. A range of standard radius corners is available, with an extra bonus of a 'tighter' corner (500mm radius) and curtains can also be 'parked' on the corners. A special rope carrier has been developed so that should a hauling line become detached from its guides, it will be automatically re-located the next time the curtains are drawn in either direction. A variety of hauling mechanisms is available from the simple hand-haul system with weighted pulley to a motor-driven system, with a hand-wound trackdrive as the mid-range choice. The trackdrive and motor options feature a brand new, self-tensioning mechanism. Again, all of these system are 'modular' and bolted, so that last minute fixes and maintenance are not only possible, but also fast and easy. Six Track sections are supplied individually boxed for ease of storage and protection in transport. Australian Distributor Coemar De Sisti www.cdaust.com.au |

Trackpod![]() TrackPod, the tracking tripod for automated follow-spots and instant focusing, is a single-operator multiple-followspot controller used in large arenas and stages. This patented instrument is designed to track performers in three dimensions, automatically directing intelligent lights to follow a performer wherever they move. The TrackPod calculates where, in 3D, the operator is pointing and, helped by a laser calibration system, directs up to 128 lighting fixtures to that exact spot. This single operator system maximises the use of the intelligent lighting plot and saves the cost of hiring multiple followspots and followspot operators. On-board faders and buttons allow the operator to optionally control the fixtures' dimmer, iris, colour, zoom or any other DMX channel. TrackPod is the perfect automated followspot system for concerts, theatres, stadiums, arenas, ice rinks & TV studios. It has won a LIVE! Lighting Product of the Year award as well as a PLASA Award for Product Excellence. Customers love automated followspots because they can save money on followspot operators and rentals, keep performers lit at all times even with a small number of fixtures and have dozens of light beams automatically intersecting on performers. TrackPod also gives new vitality to existing moving light installations as well as illuminating stages where normal followspots do not fit. www.martin.dk Australian Distributor Show Technology www.showtech.com.au |
Spotlight
Luminaire Modular Motorisation System![]() The new range of Spotlight motorised luminaries include Plano Convex, Fresnel and Profiles with a lamp power range of 1000W to 5000W in both tungsten and discharge. However due to the modular design of the system, the Spotlight motorisation can be fitted to a wide variety of other manufacturers lighting fixtures. The Spotlight motorisation features silent operation, 360o rotation, precise positioning resolution, smooth and continuous acceleration and deceleration functions, no reset required, last achieved position after power failure, and original position recovery if accidentally moved after changing the lamp. Applications include professional theatre, television studios and multi-function halls. The motorised system is particularly effective when faster and more accurate positioning is required than is possible with traditional lighting fixtures, when the units are in hard to reach positions, when a large number cannot be installed due to limited power or space, or if there is not sufficient time to change their position due to rapid scene or show changes. Options include electro mechanical dimmers for discharge lamps, and scroller colour changers.
