The Illawarra night sky was lit up in a frenzy of colour on Friday night surrounding the Breakwater Lighthouse on Wollongong Harbour. Social Media went into overdrive as Illawarra residents all the way from Bulli to Dapto reported bright lights moving throughout the sky. Those who did follow the lights to satisfy their curiosity were rewarded with a unique ‘pop-up’ light show unlike Wollongong Harbour had ever seen.

CMG Audio Visual, in conjunction with the NSW Cancer Council put on a lead-up show to remember with the main event to ocCMG-AV-Cat-Alia-Lighthouse-2cur on the 4th of June 2016 at the Wollongong UniHall.

The pop-up light show featured 26 weather-resistant IP54 LightSky AquaBeam and 8 ShowPro Hex36 LED Flood fixtures controlled by a MA Lighting Dot2 Console – with ultra-bright Projection of the Stars of Wollongong, Cancer Council NSW and CMG AV logos provided by a Barco RLM-W8 Projector and Coolux Media System.
