The International Fleet Review took place on Sydney Harbour from 3 -11 October 2013, commemorating the centenary of the first Royal Australian Navy fleet entry into Sydney Harbour. Events culminated with a spectacular pyrotechnics and lightshow consisting of thirty minutes of complex, highly choreographed fireworks, projection, lighting and live action centered around Sydney’s Harbour and Opera House.
Fat Sound was contracted to light structures for the event and after scoping the market for suitable lighting, a director Ray Eberle came across the CHAUVET Professional COLORado 4 IP. Believing that it ticked all the boxes in terms of suitable colour saturation, build quality, IP rating and most of all illuminance output (not to mention pricing), Ray claimed it was no brainer and that the CHAUVET Professional COLORado 4 IP worked perfect on lighting the job at hand.
The CHAUVET Professional COLORado 4 IP takes quad-coloured LED technology to a new level. This outdoor rated, linear wash light features four powerful 40-watt quad-coloured (RGBW) LEDs. The incorporation of white LEDs widens the colour palette while 15-degree lenses produce a powerful punch of homogenized colour. Individual pixel programming enhances the visual impact of this versatile and resilient fixture. A removable yoke doubles as a mounting bracket for stacking an array of up to four units that maintain a perfect pixel pitch.
