Graftons Sound & Lighting has been providing professional audio, visual and lighting solutions for over 30 years. With a wealth of production, technology and industry experience Graftons remains a significant force in the provision of AV solutions from productions, sales to dry hires. Graftons portfolio includes large scale outdoor productions, in house management to intimate indoor events where a range of solutions can be provided from event management, design, installation, technical directors and operators.
Recently the company was looking to add to his large range of lighting solutions and inventory that would be able to cover applications from productions to sales and dry hire. As a result, Graftons encountered Showtools International and had a look at the Chauvet Professional range of fixtures they distribute. After some research, Graftons decided to acquire 8x COLORdash Par-H12IP static wash lights and 12x COLORdash Batten-Quad 6’s Linear Wash Lights.
The COLORdash Par-H12IP wash lights were acquired due to their rugged RGBWA-UV LED wash where indoor/outdoor flexibility is needed due to their IP rated power. In addition, the Par-H12IP fixture has adjustable PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) to avoid flickering on camera which was a key factor for productions as well as selectable, smooth dimming curves to eliminate flicker and choppiness in fades.
The COLORdash Batten-Quad 6 is a linear wash fixture with 6 individually controllable quad-colored RGBA LEDs outputting any variation of white as well as richly saturated colours, thanks to the inclusion of amber LEDs. It pixel maps beautifully when used in multiples because it maintains an even pixel pitch. The units are already proving to be a success as Danny Tan General Manager states, “We have already had them out on a couple of jobs and they are booked for more jobs in the next few weeks. The client seems very happy with them.”
In addition, Graftons also acquired a Showcase 8 LED Can Case and Batten Road Case from Showtools to house these fixtures. These Showcase road cases were chosen due their quality and durability, with the Penn-Elcom hardware the cases are fitted with bring a clear standout with Showcase being built to last.
With the addition of these Chauvet Professional fixtures as well as Showcase Road Cases, Graftons will continue to provide a large range of lighting solutions in combination with their wealth of industry experience to provide all their clients the best service from sales to productions.
