ALIA Tour to Queens of the Stone Age, Sydney

Formed in 1996 in Palm Desert, California, the Queens of the Stone Age developed a style of riff-oriented, heavy rock music. Their sound has since evolved to incorporate a variety of different styles and influences, including working with Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, and Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan who has been a steady contributor to the band. For all this time the band have been a constant in the worldwide Rock’n’Roll circus, touring and performing old and new songs, always dedicated to keeping the spirit of innovation and autonomy alive and moving forward.

This motivation also applies to lighting designer Emmanuelle “Gigi“ Pedron who has given the band a very unique look onstage.

Emmanuelle’s rig includes: 74 x GLP impression X4 Bar 20, 56 x Martin MAC Viper Profile, 18 x MAC Quantum Wash, 40 x Claypaky A.leda B-EYE K20, 18 x SL Nitro 510C, 18 x Claypaky Sharpy, 15 x Cuepix Blinder WW2, 12 x TMB Solaris Flare and 10 x Ayrton MagicDot-R. Control is an MA Lighting MA2 full size.

Emmanuelle has kindly agreed to conduct a tour of her lighting rig in Sydney and ALIA strongly encourages any ladies who want to work in this area of our industry to attend!
