ALIA Tour to FAME – The Musical, Melbourne

Produced by John Frost and directed and choreographed by So You Think You Can Dance’s Kelley Abbey, the musical that inspired new generations to fight for fame and light up the sky like a flame is back!

FAME is, almost uniquely, a classic of cinema, television and music theatre. The movie, released in 1980, won an Academy Award and swept the world. The TV show ran for six seasons, won numerous Emmy Awards and was broadcast in over 70 countries. FAME – The Musical ran for a decade on London’s West End and has been seen by over 10 million worldwide.

Lighting designer Trudy Dalgleish has kindly agreed to a conduct an ALIA tour of her lighting rig for this production of FAME this Saturday in Melbourne. The rig includes Martin MAC TW1 narrow lens, VL 3000 Spots, MAC 2000 Spots with a mixture of standard and Woodroofe gobos, MAC 2000 wash, ETC Source IV’s, ACLs, Robert Juliat follow spots, Martin Atomic Strobes and Unique Hazers. Control is by a Catalyst and a MA Lighting grandMA console. Also in use is a Barco Mi Trix screen which is 7590 mm by 15000 mm and three Lighthouse LED screens that are about 2400mm by 2560mm.
